Getting your home

Viewing your home
Once you have had an offer made, you will be able to view.

Signing a tenancy agreement
You will be asked to sign a tenancy agreement.

This document sets out the responsibilities you have as a tenant as well as the services the landlord will provide to you.

Getting your keys
You will be given the house keys on the agreed date of you moving in. You may also be given codes/fobs if your home is in a block with an entry system.

YOU MUST LOOK AFTER KEYS. IF YOU LOSE THEM, YOUR LANDLORD MAY CHARGE YOU FOR NEW ONES.
If you are not completely clear about any aspect of the tenancy agreement, ask the officer to explain it more clearly. IT IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT.
If your new home is furnished, you may be given a list of items provided in the house. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU MAKE SURE THAT THE LIST IS CORRECT and YOU HAVE SEEN EVERY ITEM THAT IS LISTED.
