The landlord is expected to:
- Provide you with a home that is habitable and safe, wind and watertight.
- Give you a written/signed tenancy agreement (and up to date contact details).
- Set out the amount of rent (and any service charges).
- Respect your right to peace and quiet in the property.
- Maintain the property’s structure and exterior and ensure installations (e.g.
water, sanitation, central heating, gas and electric) are working well.
- Address any antisocial behaviour by their tenants in and around the property.
- Make sure repairs are carried out within the timescales stated.
- Get tenants’ views about new rental charges or any other major changes to
any part of our services (registered social landlords).
- Follow correct legal procedures if they want you to leave.
AS A TENANT, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO:
