AN E-LEARNING MODULE AND STEP BY STEP GUIDE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

THE HUB
Neighbours
As a tenant you may have neighbours – in a flat, this may be above you or below you.In a house neighbours may live beside you.

Sometimes it is difficult to get to know people – especially if you have moved to a new area or away from friends and family.

But as a tenant – you need to consider other people around you – just as they need to consider you.
Being a good neighbour
You may need to take a turn at keeping shared spaces clean and tidy (for example stairs, bin stores).

Being a good neighbour means trying to get on with people.

Noisy parties or playing music too loud can disturb neighbours.

Shouting at people can also be upsetting to them.

Respecting other people’s space and property is a good way to get on with neighbours.

If you find it difficult to meet new people or you are getting bothered by people. CONTACT YOUR LANDLORD (OR SUPPORT WORKER) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
