Social landlords provide their tenants with a Scottish Secure Tenancy (SST). This means that if you do not breach the tenancy agreement, the tenancy is provided to you for an indefinite period.

Types of houses

Landlords have different types of stock that they can offer people and will take household size and need into consideration. These are just some of the types of property that you may be offered.

If you have been warned about anti-social behaviour or have housing support needs, you may be given a Short Scottish Secure Tenancy (SSST). This type of tenancy runs for 6 months when it will be reviewed. This type of tenancy offers tenants less rights than a SST.
