Stirling Council and Housing Options

Stirling Council’s Housing Options Officers provide a single point of contact which is integrated with other agencies to deliver comprehensive support to help customers choose the best housing options available to them across a range of tenures. When the Housing Options Officer meets with a client who is homeless or potentially homeless they will complete a personal Housing Options interview and signpost the client to other relevant agencies, if appropriate. If eligible, clients will also be considered for either the Mortgage to Rent Scheme, the Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme or the Spend to Save budget. Housing Options Officers will also go out to visit homeless or potentially homeless households in the rural area if their circumstances prevent them from travelling into Stirling.
