Tom’s Story
Tom moved into his new flat a few weeks later.
Jim referred Tom to a furniture project where he got help with getting furniture and other items such as pots and pans and bedding.
Tom was also able to get some money from the council for painting his house. He has now signed up for college and has got a grant from his local education department.
Tom was given a Scottish Secure Tenancy. A SST meant that Tom was secure in his tenancy as long as he followed the rules in his tenancy agreement.
